November 13th, 8PM-12AM is the debut of Where the Action Is: a New 60’s Garage & Pop Dance Party DJd by DJ Hullabaloo (myself) and DJ Ajobo.
I’m going to squeeze in a lot of my bubblegum at this party too.

Cathryn Mudon and I are hosting a special Kaleidoscope to benefit the fight against cancer. All details below:

Proceeds go to Gilda’s Club. Donate online.
You can also donate to American Cancer Society for the event here.
There are two divisions of prizes: RAFFLE items and AUCTION items.
Raffle tickets are $1 each. (Receipts from online donations can be honored in exchange for raffle tickets). You’d have to purchase 5 at a time.
Auction
• 2 tickets to Saturday Night Live (January 7, 11pm – 1am, viewed from the writers’ room, after-party invitation NOT included)
• 2 tickets to David Letterman (plus a gift bag with a mug, t-shirt and print-out to the event)
• Perform with members of Bastian, Grandma’s Ashes and Airwolf at the Pou & Nic show on October 27 at 10PM, The Triple Crown

I don’t believe that love heals.
I believe that it does many things for people. Gives them a sense of worth. Makes them able to take risks. But it does not heal.
I do believe in risks.
I also believe in bravery.
I believe in the merit of being open to being weak and vulnerable.
I believe in authenticity.
I believe we should hope for a better future. And do our damnedest to protect the present.
These are things I know and hope to be true.
But I don’t think that love heals.
